Community Developments/Social Activities

NCC has adopted community development activities with the aim of imbibing amongst cadets selfless service to the community, dignity of labour importance of self help, need to protect the environment and to assist weaker sections of the society in their upliftment. This was envisaged through programmes involving adult-education, tree plantation, blood donation, visit to Old Age Homes, slum clearance, village upliftment and various other social schemes.

Anti Dowry

Besides spreading awareness, NCC cadets take a pledge not to accept or encourage dowry system.
Anti Leprosy Drive

NCC Cadets have launched anti-leprosy drive throughout the country and are helping various voluntary Governments Organisations.
Tree Plantation

NCC cadets plant saplings and look after them in conjunction with the concerned State Department. NCC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Govind Ballabh Pant Institue of Ecology and Environment in July, 2006 to promote afforestation, inculcate scientific understanding of environment and environmental problems of the Indian Himalayan Region. This programme is being extended to other parts of the Himalyan Region.

Old Age Homes




Old Age Homes in the country are partronised and regularly visited by NCC cadets. To provide a helping of 'care' and bring smiles.
Adult Education

A Total of ten All India Treks are conducted every year i.e. three for girls and seven for boys and a total of 10,000 cadets take part in it.
